JAKARTA – MALIQ & D’Essentials present another exhibition to celebrate the release of their tenth album, titled Kabar Gembira. Visitors can listen to nine new songs from the album and enjoy various creative activities at the event. Specifically, the band hosts the Kabar Gembira Exhibition from October 29 to November 17, 2026, at the Melting Pot on the ground floor of ASHTA District 8 in South Jakarta. Through this special exhibition, the band invites the public to learn more about their musical journey and creative growth.

Previously, the band successfully organized the Can Machines Fall in Love? Exhibition in 2024. Now, they expands the scope of their second exhibition by focusing on four main pillars. First, the exhibition highlights their latest album Kabar Gembira. Next, it showcases the musical performance Senja Teduh Pelita. Additionally, it features the lifestyle line Untitled Humans and previews their 25th-anniversary celebration concert planned for 2027. Furthermore, the event offers exclusive merchandise and diverse creative collaborations.

Exhibition Director Dimasz Joey Aditya explains the core vision behind this event. He emphasizes that MALIQ acts as a carrier, a creator, and a medium to deliver all these ideas. Therefore, organizers prepared several interactive areas for visitors to explore. For instance, guests can walk through the main stage, the Kabar Gembira Hearing Section, the Timeline Journey, the Fujifilm photo booth, and the Pophariini Store.

In addition, the event offers a wide range of public activities. These activities include a joint program by Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia and Pophariini, an HMNS Meet & Greet, the Mad Music Lab, and the SiniarRaja podcast by Pophariini. Moreover, the venue hosts the press conference for the new album, live musical performances of Senja Teduh Pelita, and a special showcase by MALIQ & D’Essentials.

Notably, the “Hearing Section” attracts significant attention from visitors. In this area, fans can listen to nine songs from Kabar Gembira before the official release of the album. These tracks include Madness, Kabar Gembira, Penasaran featuring Rhoma Irama, Nyali featuring Bilal Indrajaya, Pigura featuring Perunggu, Buku Gambar, and Ada Juga Ya.

For MALIQ, an exhibition format allows them to tell the story behind their music more completely. Unlike traditional concerts, this format lets visitors enjoy the music while seeing all the creative elements that shape the band’s identity. Moreover, the band chose ASHTA again because the location connects closely with them and provides great space for creative events. Drummer Widi Puradiredja notes that combining an album launch with an exhibition format perfectly reveals the band’s full story and identity. He adds that a band can grow into a brand that branches out into various products and creative industries.

Meanwhile, Keke Kananta, Head of A&R at Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia, views this event as a great opportunity to expand audience engagement. He believes that MALIQ can introduce their strong identity through creative works beyond simple music releases. As a result, this collaboration helps the band reach a broader audience. Finally, MALIQ & D’Essentials created this exhibition together with Connect by ASHTA to celebrate ASHTA’s sixth anniversary.
