JAKARTA – Art lovers usually view artworks inside traditional gallery spaces or public city squares. However, the organizers of StartMoments Jakarta 2026 chose a very unique way by bringing artworks directly into workplace offices. They are holding a small-scale art fair on floors 51 to 53 of Ciputra World 2 in Jakarta. The event opened on Thursday afternoon, November 5, 2026, and it runs through the weekend until Sunday, November 8, 2026.
As a part of the ArtMoments ecosystem, StartMoments expands the art experience through a cross-disciplinary approach. For example, it connects art with fashion, food and beverages, design, and modern lifestyle. Sendy Widjaja, the Founder and Fair Director of ArtMoments Jakarta, explained that this event grew out of the Young Collectors program three years ago. During the opening ceremony, he said that the program connects art with young creators so that galleries can meet new audiences.
Moreover, Sendy built this platform specifically for Gen Z as a fresh and unconventional idea. He noted that the creative industry generates high economic value, so it can support artists who have not yet entered the Southeast Asian art ecosystem. Consequently, the inaugural event features 130 artists and 68 exhibitors.
One of the main programs, called Urban Moments, acts as a curated creative marketplace. As a result, this marketplace connects artists, illustrators, designers, and independent creative entrepreneurs. Visitors can find original illustrations, art prints, fashion items, accessories, and unique merchandise inside these working spaces.
In addition, the event features The Workplace Art Fair, which transforms everyday office rooms and meeting spaces into art exhibition areas. Sendy believes that using office space offers a fresh way to host exhibitions. Furthermore, he wanted an out-of-the-box idea to stimulate public curiosity. He also observed that Gen Z actively participates in unconventional activities to boost their creativity, culture, and environment, and they already show great awareness about collecting artwork. Finally, visitors can attend and enjoy this unique art exhibition completely free of charge.
