Punk Band Dongker Launches Charity Auction for LBH Bandung

Punk band Dongker hosts a charity auction for LBH Bandung, donating funds from their new single artwork to support legal aid and fight social injustice.

JAKARTA – Bandung punk band Dongker recently released their latest emotional single. The song bears the title Lautan Bunga Warna Terang. However, the musicians want to do more than just play music on a stage. Therefore, they launched a unique charity auction program to connect their art with real social issues.

For this special event, the band offers a rare miniature figure. This item provides a clear visual interpretation of their new song. Specifically, the artwork acts as a symbol of solidarity and care for other people. In this way, Dongker expands the conversation from the musical lyrics into concrete actions.

The minifigure being auctioned is a 3D print by @magic3d.id and is based on the artwork in the music video for Lautan Bunga Warna Terang, the first track on Dongker’s upcoming album, Melankolia Radikal.

Before the auction, the minifigure was exhibited in Bandung during the release party for single’s launching. The characters transformed into minifigures each have their own stories. Among them, a wheelchair-bound figure represents a Dongker listener who attended the gig with a broken leg. A dog named Dollar (re-illustrated by @dzarethusa), who has become Dongker’s mascot, is also included in the lineup of minifigures.

The band will donate all the auction money to the Legal Aid Institute of Bandung (LBH Bandung). Consequently, this institute will manage the funds to support structural legal assistance for poor communities. Furthermore, the organization protects vulnerable groups and victims of human rights violations. Dongker believes that legal injustice threatens many ordinary people every day.

This program shows how independent music groups can create a real impact outside of concert halls. Meanwhile, the band members invite the public to pay attention to serious problems like criminalization. Ultimately, they want to build a strong space for social solidarity through this movement. The event successfully closed on June 15, 2026.
