Seringai’s New Album IV: Anastasis Honors Ricky Siahaan

JAKARTA – The Indonesian high octane rock titans Seringai are preparing to launch their latest album, IV: Anastasis. This upcoming release carries a heavy emotional weight for the band members and their fans. It serves as a vital document of the final creative journey with their late guitarist, Ricky Siahaan. While the band explores new musical directions, the album preserves the essential spirit of their departed brother.

Ricky Siahaan’s influence remains the heartbeat of this new record. Out of the 12 total tracks, the band developed 11 songs together with Ricky before he passed away. Drummer Edy Khemod emphasizes that Ricky’s signature riffs, song structures, and guitar tones provide the foundation for every track. Consequently, fans will still recognize the classic Seringai sound even as the band evolves.

The atmosphere of the album feels notably different from the band’s previous high-energy releases. The music adopts a darker and more contemplative tone. Vocalist Arian13 explains that the global pandemic and personal losses deeply affected their songwriting process. Because of these heavy experiences, the album acts as a somber reflection of the challenges they faced since 2020.

Preserving the Final Artifacts

The tracklist follows a specific narrative to guide the listener through a sea of emotions. The song Akar holds a special place as the final collaborative work featuring Ricky. It even includes an acoustic touch at the end, which the band describes as a final artifact of his playing. Finally, the album closes with Tirani Lagi, the only song finished without Ricky, symbolizing the band’s difficult step into the future.

Seringai now utilizes an additional guitarist for their live performances and recordings. However, they maintain that Ricky’s identity remains the pillar of this specific album. Fans can experience this emotional tribute when the album officially debuts on April 23, 2026.
