JAKARTA – The Jakarta-based trio, Perunggu, is expanding their Pertunjukan Dalam Dinamika tour to Surabaya. This tour celebrates their second album and follows a successful major concert in Jakarta last year. The band is currently visiting several cities, including Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung, to share their latest musical vision.
The band members now view their live performances through a different lens. They no longer see a concert as just a place to play songs in front of a crowd. Instead, they treat the show as a complete experience that the audience must enjoy from start to finish. Drummer Ildo Hasman explains that the group now plans every single detail of the performance. They focus heavily on the lighting, the visual art, and the specific flow between each song. Consequently, they want the entire event to feel like one unified story rather than a simple list of tracks.
Perunggu values the emotional bond they share with their listeners above everything else. Even as their production grows larger, they keep interactive elements at the heart of their identity. Interestingly, the band recently launched a unique campaign asking fans to put their phones away. They want people to enjoy the moment personally before they turn the experience into digital content. Lead singer Maul Ibrahim believes that this approach helps fans create deeper, more personal memories of the music.
The band feels a very strong connection to their fans in East Java. On May 16, 2026, they will perform at the Grand City Hall Surabaya. According to bassist Adam Adenan, the Surabaya audience is incredibly expressive and open to challenging music. These fans often give the best reactions to the band’s most complex and “difficult” songs. Although the concert market in Surabaya can be unpredictable, the band looks forward to the challenge of winning over the local crowd.
They loves to share the stage with other talented musicians to create a fresh experience. For the Surabaya show, they will welcome special guests Salma Salsabil and Natassya Sianturi from Thee Marloes. This follows their previous collaborations with famous artists like Eross Candra of Sheila on 7 and Kunto Aji in Yogyakarta. After they finish the Surabaya performance, the band will head to Bandung for their final tour stop on May 23, 2026. This journey allows Perunggu to test how their music, the atmosphere, and the fans can truly become one.
