JAKARTA – High-octane rock powerhouse Seringai officially reclaimed their throne on March 26, 2026. The band unleashed two music videos simultaneously for their tracks Sejati and Senarai Feses. Both new songs belong to the upcoming fourth album titled IV: Anastasis. This dual release marks a new chapter following a period of hiatus. They describes the project as a full-throttle effort rather than a half-hearted return. They call this six-minute audio-visual strike the most brutal phase in their long history.
This project represents the band’s first creative output since the passing of co-founder and guitarist Ricky Siahaan. Ricky passed away in Tokyo, Japan, on April 19, 2025. The band acknowledges the weight of this loss in their official statement. They emphasize that the band did not collapse after the tragedy. Instead, the members hardened their resolve to continue their musical legacy.
A Prelude to the Armageddon of IV: Anastasis
This record features the final contributions from Ricky Siahaan himself. The album marks their first full-length work since the 2018 release Seperti Api. Seringai compares their previous albums to mere explosions. They describe the album as a total armageddon. Guest guitarist Angga Kusuma (Billfold, Collapse) handled the guitar duties during the recording sessions.
New Lineup and Visual Production
Seringai now performs with a five-piece formation for their live shows. Vocalist Arian 13, drummer Edy ‘Khemod’ Susanto, and bassist Sammy Bramantyo lead the group. Two additional guitarists, Angga Kusuma and Darma Respati (Negatifa), strengthen the new lineup. Edy directed the music videos for Sejati and Senarai Feses alongside Rifqi Fadhlurrahman. The crew filmed the entire production at Gedung Putih Studio in South Tangerang on March 2, 2026.
The band views this release as a declaration of war rather than a nostalgic comeback. Fans watched the premiere of both videos on Seringai’s official YouTube channel at 19:00 WIB. The singles currently reside on Apple Music with other digital platforms following soon, excluding Spotify. High Octane Production will release the full album IV: Anastasis on April 23, 2026. The label plans to distribute the record in both CD and digital formats.
The Legacy of Indonesia’s Heavy Rock Giants
Seringai remains a dominant force in Indonesia’s heavy music scene since their formation in 2002. They boast a catalog of essential records including Serigala Militia (2007) and the AMI Award-winning Seperti Api (2018). The band famously opened for Metallica at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in 2013 before 60,000 fans. They continue to expand their influence across Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Japan through their independent label.
