JAKARTA – Ten years ago, four young people recorded songs in their cramped rooms and wardrobes. These musicians lacked professional studios, industry networks, and formal music education. They carried only conviction and passion to start a journey without a clear map of the music industry. Today, Reality Club stands as a significant name in Indonesia’s alternative music landscape.
The “(10) Years of Reality Club” Celebration
Reality Club partners with promoter Katarsis Live to celebrate this milestone through a special concert titled “(10) Years of Reality Club – Live in Jakarta“. This performance takes place on June 6, 2026, at the GBK Basketball Hall Senayan Jakarta. Consequently, the band views this concert as an opportunity to look back at their long journey alongside their listeners. They will perform songs from the beginning of their career to their latest catalog in a narrative sequence.
“Ten years feels like a miracle to us. We truly started from zero, and reaching this point is something we never take for granted,” says Fathia Izzati.
Expanding Beyond Borders
Reality Club’s journey involves more than just album releases. The band toured several countries, including the United States and various regions in Asia. Furthermore, they earned prestigious recognition at home, such as the Anugerah Musik Indonesia awards for Best Alternative Album and Best Alternative Duo/Group/Collaboration.
Faiz Novascotia Saripudin (vocal & guitars) explains that they are creating a concert of this capacity for the first time. He notes that the show focuses on their entire discography rather than just one album. Therefore, fans will hear a longer setlist and stories about the band’s journey from their early days until now.
Emotional and Visual Experience
CEO of Katarsis Live, Reyhana Zein, aims to deliver an experience that touches the audience’s emotional side. The production utilizes a storytelling approach, which remains a signature of Katarsis Live. Due to high audience enthusiasm, the organizers moved the event to a larger capacity venue.
Drummer Era Patigo believes this ten-year celebration allows the band to pause from their tour routine. He emphasizes that their legacy involves believing in dreams and taking action. “Believing alone is not enough; there must be action,” he says.
