JAKARTA – The beautiful Amphitheater Seruni Point Bromo hosted a special event on last Saturday night (May 16, 2026). The organizers chose Bromo in Wonderlight as the main theme for this year’s Bromo Sunset Music and Culture Festival. This colorful celebration highlighted traditional arts and local creativity from the residents of Probolinggo, East Java. Many people gathered to watch the spectacular performances under the stars.
Therefore, the event successfully created a beautiful bond between nature and human creativity. Visitors enjoyed the fresh mountain air while artists displayed their amazing skills.
The Head of the Youth, Sports, and Tourism Agency of Probolinggo, Heri Mulyadi, shared his positive thoughts. He explained that this event provides a great collaborative space for local artists. Creative workers can easily show their best masterpieces to a larger audience in the famous Bromo tourism area. Consequently, the local government fully supports this cultural gathering to help young creators grow.
Furthermore, this support opens new doors for the younger generation to preserve their heritage. The agency wants to connect local talents with international travelers who visit the mountain every day. As a result, artists gain more confidence and receive better recognition for their hard work.
Diverse Talents Take the Center Stage
The lively festival presented a wide variety of art performances for the audience. Local groups entertained the crowd with sweet music, traditional dances, funny pantomime, and strong martial arts. For instance, the Remime Remind Your Imagination community filled the stage with creative imagination through their pantomime act. After that, Vaizh and Friends played beautiful musical notes that touched everyone’s heart.
In addition, Ayu Kindi Nasya amazed the viewers with her sharp moves in the solo pencak silat performance. The talented dancers from Ayodya Bahuwarna Dance Studio also brought rich colors to the stage. Thus, this mixed line-up successfully proved the rich cultural wealth and deep creativity of Probolinggo’s youth.
Building a Stronger Cultural Identity
The government hopes that this festival offers more than just simple weekend entertainment. They want to strengthen the regional cultural identity through these artistic displays. Besides that, the event aims to support sustainable tourism that relies heavily on arts and culture. Tourists can learn valuable lessons about local life while they enjoy the creative show.
Finally, the smooth synergy between art, culture, and tourism will surely bring positive economic effects. Local communities can sell their creative products and improve their daily income during the festival. For that reason, the main organizers plan to hold this successful event regularly in the future.
